Vishwaguruji visits Koyalat and Bikaner, Rajasthan
His Holiness Vishwaguru Paramhans Sri Swami Maheshwarananda visited Bikaner, Rajasthan, responding to an invitation to an annual event organized by Bhavna Meghwal Memorial Trust. On his way, Vishwaguruji visited Kapil Muni Ashram and temple in Koyalat, a place of pilgrimage where the Vedic sage, Kapil Muni shed his mortal body under a pipal tree.
Traditionally, on the 28th of January, every year for the last 21 years, the Bhavna Meghwal Memorial Trust has been organising communal marriage ceremonies for poor people. This year 70 couples got married on the day. There were 70 horses, one for each groom, 70 yagya places (sacred fire pits) for the marriage and 70 sets of different marriage presents.
Also on this occasion, around 150 children from the 10th and 12th grades received awards for their performance in school.
An additional program was celebrated this year – 70 years of the Indian Constitution! The hero of the downtrodden, Baba Saheb Bheemrav Ambedkar, played a crucial role in its making, so a program was run in his name.
Indian Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal specially invited Vishwaguruji to attend this program, together with other great social and political leaders.
